Filmistaan is about to release in India on 6 June 2014, although the film has been making rounds and winning awards from 2012.

Sharib Hashmi, after doing movies like, Slumdog Millionaire and Jab Tak Hai Jaan, is doing Filmistaan, in which he will be playing the main lead.

The story of the film revolves around a man (Sunny) who is crazy for Bollywood, in short, he has Filmy Keeday running in his blood more than anything else.

Sunny is thrown out of every audition, but his craziness to become a hero never lets him stay away from auditions and movies.

Sunny gets an opportunity to work with American Crew for a Documentary on Rajasthan. He gets kidnapped by terrorists and his life changes, but his craziness for movies doesn’t go at all.
