Pratidwandi is a Bengali drama film directed by Satyajit Ray. The story of the film is based on a young college graduate who is struggling to find a job. The film is set during the period of the naxalite movement in Bengal. The film is also the first one of Ray’s ‘Calcutta Trilogy’, which includes ‘Pratidwandi’, ‘Seemabaddha’ and ‘Jana Aranya’.
Red Alert: The War Within (2009)

Lal Salam gives an insight to the journey of the Communist movement in the 50’s and 60’s. The story of the film is loosely based on the real life story of members of the Communist Party of India – Thomas Vaidyan and Gowri Amma. The story tells about the two different phases of the lives of Sakhav Nettoor Stephen, Sakhav T. K. Antony and Sakhav Sethulakshmi which includes the transition of Communist from being barred outlaws to the corridors of power.
Sindooram is a Telugu thriller film directed by Krishna Vamsi, starring Ravi Teja, Sanghavi and Brahmaji in the lead roles. The story of the film showcases the complexity of Naxalism in Andhra Pradesh. The film also won the National Film Award for the Best Feature Film in Telugu.
