N.T. Rama Rao Jr. or NTR Jr. is a megastar in the Telugu film industry. He inherits the name NTR from his late grandfather and the former CM of Andhra Pradesh, N.T. Rama Rao, his next project is with S.S Rajamouli titled RRR is going to be dubbed in Hindi as RRR, it also stars Ajay Devgn, Ram Charan.
Before entering politics, his father also worked in Telugu films and became one of the legends in Telugu cinema.
His family background worked in his favor, and his roadmap in the Telugu film industry was all set. He was destined to become a star given the fact that his grandfather, father, and uncle being famous stars in Telugu film industry.
He began his career as a child artist in the 1996 film Ramayanam where he played Rama. Owing to the success of Ramayanam, every filmmaker was trying to bank upon his success and the background he belongs.
The director of Ramayanam, Gunasekhar convinced S.S. Rajamouli to cast NTR Jr. in his debut film Student No.1. However, the film production delayed and later Ramoji Rao offered him the lead role in romance drama Ninnu Choodalani. The film became his debut film as an adult.
Despite the hype and the background, the film couldn’t do well at the box office. Jr. NTR’s appearance wasn’t appreciated well as he didn’t resemble any Hero figures that Telugu cinema was producing. However, all that changed when Student No.1 finally released and became a box office hit.
Later, he signed Aadi where he played an action hero and progressed towards becoming an action hero rather than a romantic one. The move proved beneficial as he established a considerable fan following post-Aadi and there was no turning back for this megastar.
